What to Expect

UniPlace is University Place Christian Church.

As a visitor to UniPlace you will find an enormous welcome. You can share in worship that includes engaging preaching, glorious music, deep spirit and prayer, and warm fellowship. You will find an accpeting faith community where everyone is welcome - no exceptions!

Sunday worship begins at 10 a.m. and is usually done by 11:15 a.m.  Dress is anywhere from jeans to business casual to 'Sunday best.' Please come as you are!

You'll hear splendid music in a variety of musical styles - from the classical style of the Chancel Choir to the informal and contemporary music of the Jubilee. Instrumentalists complement the singing, with the regular performance of piano and organ music, as well as guest appearances from local musicians, including students from the University of Illinois.

The Lord's Supper is central to UniPlace and to the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). It is an open communion.  All Christians are invited and welcome to share in this ceremony.  At the Table, each person is accepted and forgiven. Here we have our "one on one" encounter with Christ.
