Staff & Leadership

Administration, Deb Reardanz

This team has responsibility for UniPlace personnel and office activities, including oversight and evaluation of ministers and other staff and all matter relating to office equipment, services, and functions. It oversees uses of the building and building rental polices as well as church publications and electronic communications.

Education, Laurie Dayton and Ali Lewis

This team oversees Sunday School and other education activities for youth and adults, including teacher training. It also assists other groups in the church that decide to undertake education efforts and provides a clearing house for information on individual learning options.

Property and Facilities, Derryl Singley

This team takes responsibility for the building and grounds and issues of safety, including the initiation and oversight of all repairs and maintenance. In fulfilling its task, the team will solicit assistance from other church groups and church members at large.

Worship, Jane Freyfogle

This team works with the minister on all matters relating to worship including communion supplies and communion preparation, music, baptisms, flowers, sanctuary decorations, and pew supplies. It oversees coffee fellowship. It also works with the minister of music to promote church choirs and attract new choir members.

Stewardship and Finance, Rick Broyles

This team has charge of all financial matters (except those specifically entrusted to the Trustees). It conducts stewardship and capital campaigns, administers memorial gifts and the Colvin Fund, and oversees church finances (in conjunction with the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer). Working with the Administrative Officers it prepares budgets and assists the Treasurer in administering them.

Church Life, Bruce Reardanz and Carol Decker

This team fosters fellowship activities within the church, including music events (working with the Minister of Music), making efforts to use these events as tools of church evangelism. It will assist in the formation of small groups within the church. Finally, it monitors attendance, identifies and nurtures members in need, and reaches out to inactive members.

Evangelism and Church Growth, Clyde Smith

Although evangelism is the goal of all church groups, coordination of the effort is needed. This team is responsible for preparing evangelism materials, reaching out to visitors, and otherwise spreading the message about UniPlace to the local community.

Mission and Outreach, Waunita Kinoshita and Reneé Potter Broyles

This team seeks out and promotes mission opportunities for church groups and individual church members. It makes decisions about gifts of church funds to mission activities. In addition, it promotes special offerings and oversees the CROP Walk and Week of Compassion.
