Kitchen Renovations

The two ranges in the church kitchen were approximately 60 years old and were close to being totally unusable.The ranges were so old that parts were not even available to fix them. Basically, the ranges were considered not safe to be used any longer.

On Friday, January 13, the old ranges were removed from the kitchen and new equipment is scheduled to be installed the week of January 23. There will be one six-burner, two oven unit, with griddle similar to one of the former ranges. The second unit will be a multi-rack convection oven. The new equipment will mean greater usability than has been possible for many years. The purchase has been possible because of several direct gifts, using special funds, and a very generous bid from John Hadley for removal and installation. The Senior Service food team and the Outreach Soup makers are looking forward to using the new equipment.
