Beer & Theology September 2017

Beer & Theology is a collective of beer-loving individuals searching for God in unlikely places. Beer & Theology is a search for divinity in music, TV, movies, art, literature and the routine of everyday life. Beer & Theology meets to ask challenging questions and explore what it means for people of faith to be relevant in Champaign-Urbana. We are open to finding providence everywhere while struggling and discovering together.

What is active peace seeking and peacemaking? How do our spiritual lives call us to be peacemakers in a world of violence and turmoil? On Sunday, September 24th we will have a conversation with Rev. Michael Crosby of First Mennonite Church about his faith tradition which is centered on peacemaking and its roots in different religious traditions. We will also discuss ways our spiritual faith can call us to explore the practice of peacemaking in our communities and in our world.
