Beer Theology is a collective of beer-loving individuals searching for God in unlikely places. Beer & Theology is a search for divinity in music, TV, movies, art, literature and the routine of everyday life. Beer & Theology meets to ask challenging questions and explore what it means for people of faith to be relevant in Champaign-Urbana. We are open to finding providence everywhere while struggling and discovering together.

Star Trek has a lot to say about humanity, war, sex, ethics, and moral principles. It also has a lot to say about theology. In our Beer and Theology for January 14th, we will be examining the theological themes we see in the Star Trek while also comparing and contrasting the themes in the Star Trek Series to Christian theology.  As always, all views are theological respected and all brews are tasted are appreciated.

What Would Jesus Buy?

Sunday, January 28th at 4:00PM
Quality Bar
110 N. Neil St, Champaign, IL 61820

Americans spend $450 billion during the holiday season this year. Should that sicken us? What’s the relationship between justice, charity, conscientious consumerism, and faith? Do you think there is a connection between how we prioritize our spending and what we value in the world? Do people of faith spend their money any differently than others? Should they? Let’s have a beer and discuss. Join us for a discussion Sunday, January 28th at 4:00 PM at Quality Bar in Champaign.  Your favorite brews and your views are always accepted.
