Beer Theology is a collective of beer-loving individuals searching for God in unlikely places. Beer & Theology is a search for divinity in music, TV, movies, art, literature and the routine of everyday life. Beer & Theology meets to ask challenging questions and explore what it means for people of faith to be relevant in Champaign-Urbana. Dr. Martin Luther King often preached about what he saw as “The Beloved Community.” His vision sought for the reconciliation with those who are different and the creation of a community where people found love, acceptance, and hope.

Given the disconnections in our country today over political affiliation, religion, ethnicity, and gender, today, Is “The Beloved Community” achievable? How is “The Beloved Community” connected with our own spiritual traditions? And how do we work to create a Beloved Community right here in Champaign-Urbana?
